Good Advice
Get Connected
Making connections is essential to full integration into the RCF family. It's about fellowship and friendship. Some people stuggle to make links, others are socially gifted (most of us envy them! though we know we shouldn't) however, the majority of people are somewhere in the middle. Needless to say we feel we have a responsibility to help people connect and know that in doing so we will be strengthening the church and individuals too.
Here's how you might do it:
| Small Groups | These are designed especially for people to form friendships as you fellowship together and discuss every day issues in the light of what the Bible says and as you pray together. | |
| Baptism | As you get closer to Christ and want to follow Him more, an expression of your love for Him will likely be a desire to follow His example by being baptised. This will give you a spiritual bond with other brothers and sisters in Christ who have surrendered to the will of God in the same way. | |
| Membership | In becoming a member you are making a series of covenants that reflect your willingness to have a greater integration into church life. The present church members and leadership also make a covenant with you. | |
| Volunteering | You can only carry out voluntary work for the church if you have been attending for at least 6 months. We value our volunteers; they do a great job, and the vacancies aren't open to everybody. When relevant, we endeavour to look for appropriate qualifications (spiritual as well as 'natural') which fit you for your post. A major benefit of volunteering is that you will be blessed as you serve others, as you seek to serve Christ. Hopefully, you will also cement stronger and life lasting friendships. |
