Oasis

What is the Oasis Centre?

The Centre offers a Resource Service which provides information, specific advice, guidance, support and external referrals to other forms of Helps.

The Oasis Centre also provides a sensitive, professional and confidential Counselling Service working within the ethical guidelines as defined by The Association of Christian Counselling.

Who can the Oasis Centre help?

The Oasis Centre is open to anyone who:

a)     Lives in Rugby and the surrounding area.

b)     Agrees to the terms of counselling and/or Helps.

c)     Agrees to the Code of Conduct of the Oasis Centre.

Oasis offers help to all those who need it, whatever their age, race, personal beliefs, sexual orientation or social background.

Oasis is a Christian organisation, staffed and run by people from Rugby Christian Fellowship, but the service provided is for all in need, from any faith, or none.

Can Oasis help you?

With the increasing pressures of life, hurts from the past, or relationship difficulties, many people are led to seek outside help at some point in their lives.

Others who offer help, such as GP’s and social workers, are also so over-stretched that many of these needs are left unmet.

Oasis, unlike many other helping agencies, offers help for a wide range of difficulties which people experience.

All of the Oasis team has been trained to CPCAB professional guidelines.

Our sensitive, professional and confidential Counselling Service can assist individuals, couples and families before difficult situations worsen, or perhaps become desperate.

How do I receive help?

You can contact us to ask for help through the Oasis Resource and Counselling Centre.

You may also be referred by other voluntary agencies.

Oasis only accepts referrals where the clients permission has been obtained.

How much does it cost?

Oasis makes no charge for counselling but asks clients to make a contribution towards costs, according to their ability to pay.

Despite keeping costs to a minimum, providing a high quality, professional counselling service is expensive. The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy recommend a charge of £35 per session.

Oasis relies on donations from individuals, churches and charitable trusts to subsidise the rest of the cost of the service you receive.
