Prayer Ministry
The prayer ministry of the church is being developed to demonstrate the love and transforming power of God to people, bringing healing, freedom and wholeness.
It is our desire that the prayer ministry of the team through the power of the Holy Spirit and with the compassion of Christ will bring:
- salvation and forgiveness
- comfort and encouragement
- healing of the mind, body and spirit
Prayer ministry is available from two of the prayer team members on a Sunday morning at both services, usually during the last song and at the end.
It is also possible to book one hour prayer ministry slots with two of the prayer team by phoning or emailing the Oasis office.
Wherever possible we pray in mixed teams or have ladies praying for females and men praying for males.
We have run two 6 session team building and prayer ministry training courses, where we were reminded of God’s desire to meet with us, refreshing us and equipping us to minister his compassion and healing to others in the power of the Holy Spirit. We also grew in our relationships with each other and our confidence in praying with and for one another.
Consequently, we now have 23 fully trained members of the prayer ministry team who pray in pairs at the end of both of the Sunday morning services and who have volunteered to be available to minister at various times throughout the week.
