Purpose Driven Prayer
This ministry is designed to focus our prayer and intercession effectively:
Ezekiel 22:30 says, ‘I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so that I would not have to destroy it, but I found none.’
So let us stand in the gap for our families, church, community and the world.
2 Chronicles 7:14 ‘If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.’
Church departments share prayer needs which are then disseminated to small groups and individuals who have committed to pray for particular areas and people.
Praying households and small groups then commit to praying for:
- their neighbours
- their witness at school, college, work, or community involvement
- one focus in their local community such as a local school, the police, a hospital, or a particular issue.
- a church ministry
- a church community service
- a church mission focus
We have seen God’s faithfulness in specific answers to prayer this year for the funding of the building project, the equipping of those involved, lives changed in Christ, healings, specific needs met, both corporately, individually and abroad.
