Encounter Evenings
This month we’re launching a new rhythm of prayer for our church. On the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, we’ll gather at One Regent Street for an evening of prayer and worship.
As we step into this exciting new season and all that God has in store through One Regent Street, we believe the most important thing we can do is seek His presence together. Every move of God begins with prayer, and we want this building to be more than just a place of activity—we want it to be a place marked by God’s presence.
Whether you’ve been part of our prayer gatherings for years or you’re joining for the first time, we’d love you to come. Let’s worship together, pray for our church, our town, and one another, and make prayer the foundation of everything we do.
What is Fasting?
Fasting is a spiritual discipline that is taught in the Bible. Jesus expected His followers to fast, and He said that God rewards fasting. Fasting, according to the Bible, means to voluntarily reduce or eliminate your intake of food for a specific time and purpose. (Matt 6:16-18)
Remember that fasting is not “earning” an answer to prayer. God cannot be blackmailed by our human effort. God wants to answer our prayers and He answers out of grace. Fasting simply prepares us for God’s answer.
